SWINE FLU: GOD’S LATEST PUNISHMENT OF IDOL-WORSHIP

Praise Jesus! The Lord is back. 
I have a confession to make. I’m not a perfect Christian. Sometimes, I lose confidence in God. I’m always apologetic to Jesus after that happens, but let’s face it: God doesn’t punish nonbelievers today to the same degree He did in the days of old. Granted, the tsunami was a fairly powerful sanction on those Orientals who worship everything from cows to obese men with feet where their hands should be. Katrina certainly taught those partiers, sodomites and Kwanzaa celebrants a valuable lesson. And as Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson aptly observed, 9/11 reflected God’s fury for our tolerance of abortionists and homos. But lately, the Lord’s slaughter has been limited to the occasional flood, tornado and plane crash which involve just handfuls of nonbelieving sinners. But no more! The Lord is back with a vengeance.
One of God’s favorite conduits for extingushing evil is swine. Surely, we all remember the time that Jesus cast the devils possessing a nudist into a herd of swine which promptly drowned themselves. This time, the swine are staying alive and killing the devils, a/k/a Mexicans, a/k/a Catholics, a/k/a cultists, a/k/a idol-worshippers. Those people have always provoked the Lord with their “veneration” of Mary to the point that she has supplanted Jesus and become the Diana Ross of their religion, with Jesus relegated from THE Supreme to simply a Supreme. The cultists in the country just south claim to see Mary in everything from a stucco wall to an enchilada. They worship mortal “saints” and pray to statues. It was only a matter of time before Jesus became fed up and released the Trinity’s holy wrath on those dog-eaters.
Granted, this epidemic is starting to infect people who don’t belong to the filthy Catholic cult. But those victims had no business visiting that worthless wasteland of lazy idlers anyway. The Lord has never been good at exacting his vengeance with pinpoint accuracy. After all, the infants and unborn babies who died in the Great Flood and the fire and brimstone of Sodom and Gomorrah weren’t particularly culpable criminals, the firstborn children in Egypt couldn’t really be blamed for the Lord’s beef with the pharoah and locusts generally don’t limit themselves to the bad guys. But hey, whenever God goes on a killing spree to rid us of the wicked, it’s inevitable that there will be collateral damage. Let’s just pray that the INS strengthens its border patrols so wetbacks don’t spread the disease any further into this great nation.
Of course, there is a silver lining to every tragedy. If this disease continues to spread in Mexico, it could substantially reduce our illegal immigration problem. Perhaps that is God’s goal. The Lord does work in mysterious ways.

As a Christian and simply a fellow human that anyone can think this way both disgusts and more than anything, saddens me. You believe your views uphold Christian values but Jesus did not spread hate as your words attempt to do. If you are a parent I hope you reconsidor your poisonous views before you spread your hate to your children. God is love Tiffany. This sort of sentiment is not Christian. I am not writing to attack you but to let you know that your words touch people. That people use God as an excuse to spread hate is the saddest thing to me. What is your beef with me? God is the one who has slaughtered countless nonbelievers. Frankly, I happen to support his actions (unlike Bobby G, who instead finds outrageous and downright silly rationalizations for them). But I’m not the one who has killed the wicked. That has been God. Don’t shoot the messenger!

I am a Catholic and just recently became aware of how much SOME other Christian dominations hate us because sometimes we pray THRU the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ. As a child i was aware that not every Christian domination was Catholic but felt happiness that we all shared the belief in Jesus Christ and i thought that is that and Jesus can be the judge of that. Through my entire life i have felt Jesus with me and pray to him always but have great respect for his mother as i am sure he has also. Is the swine flu a punishment from GOD? Well we sure are living in interesting times – a very sinful world – God help the young people for they have many temptations ahead of them – how long can GOD hold back his wrath. Doesn’t God teach to love one another? To be tolerant of others? There is no right or wrong Christianity. You still don’t get it, do you? How “good” you are as a person has absolutely nothing to do with whether you get into heaven. The key to heaven is quite simple — accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and turn your life over to Him. Once you do that, you’re guaranteed heaven, no matter how many sins you may commit along the way. If Timothy McVeigh, a 9/11 terrorist or Adolf Hitler accepted the Lord before he died (and we have no idea whether any did), that person will arise to heaven. Mother Theresa, Ganhdi and every non-Christian charity worker will fry for eternity because they were never born again.
Please rid yourself of this notion that our faith in any way suggests that good deeds are somehow related to entrance into heaven.

Jesus’ teachings are of peace, love, and tolerance, not hatred. Being a Catholic, we were taught to love EVERYONE. Nowadays, I’ve denounced religion because of people like you: hate mongers who don’t realize that everyone is the same. We all follow the same codes of life: Don’t murder; don’t rape; don’t steal. In essence: Do unto others as you would have done onto you.
People like you, Tiffany, are what’s wrong with America, and your type of people are what is bringing this country to its knees. Jesus WILL love you for your unfaltering faith, as that shows how much He means to you. However, he will turn away when he sees what you truly stand for: chastising those who are deemed “unpure” to you. Well, I’m not a Christian anymore, but I’ve taken all of the good things from Christianity (Catholicism) and I use them in my daily life.
I try to be a good person everyday. I live my life everyday, thanking god I, and everyone I know and love, is alive and healthy. I get SAD when I see things like Swine Flu coming, causing people to suffer. Those people lost their lives, the most precious gift of all. And then there’s people like you who refuse to treasure life based on something as trivial as religion. Jesus taught us to treasure ALL life, yet, AGAIN, you go against the same teachings that you are so adamant in shoving down everyone’s throats.
I’ll pose one question for you. There are two people: Dick Cheney and Joe Blow. Joe Blow is not Christian, but he lives his life in a manner that would be considering holy if he was a Christian. He, however, is not of any particular religion. Dick Cheney is a man who is known to have cheated, lied, killed, all in the search of more money, also known as greed. He, however, is a Christian who goes to church every Sunday. Who do you think God would let into heaven? The “heathen” (who does everything a pure, righteous Christian would) or the “righteous” Dick Cheney (who is only good because he thinks that God is FORCED to forgive him for his sins)?
(That last tirade was NOT political; it was a demonstration tool. STRICTLY. As a Republican myself (REPUBLICAN, not right wing nut-job), I am sick and tired of hearing bashing of real Republicans when most don’t even know what one is.)

I thought that after The Flood, God made a covenant with Man to not inflict disasters as punishment any more. How come he punishes people throughout the rest of the OT? And I thought the NT was all about Christ bringing us are more peaceful message, redeeming us all? No more retribution killings until the End of Days when all saved would be resurrected in Heaven On Earth, and all the sinners thrown in the fire.
I guess I prefer to just spread messages of peace and hope; to talk about redemption through personal salvation, as Jesus taught us.

Jesus told us we are to live our lives in fear of God for God has the power not only to kill us, but to torture us forever in hell (Luke 12:5). Jesus told the disciples to bring before Him any man who didn’t believe in Him, and to violently slaughter the non-believer while Jesus watched (Luke 19:27). During one particularly temperamental time when Jesus was hungry, He even killed a fig tree for failing to bear figs, even though Jesus knew figs weren’t in season (Mark 11:12-14).
According to the New Testament – inspired by Jesus, Himself, come Judgment Day, God will gather the non-believers and hurl them into a furnace of fire where there will be uncontrollable wailing and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:41-42, 50). Entire cities of people who don’t believe will suffer a fate worse than that of Sodom and Gomorrah (Mark 6:11). Jesus told us that God will take “vengeance on them that know not God” by burning them forever “in flaming fire” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).
The brutality and destruction will not be entirely blase, though. There will be great sparks of creativity. Come Judgment Day, the Lord will create horse-like locusts will human heads, women’s hair, lion’s teeth and scorpion’s tails that will sting and inflict savage pain on sinners for five months (Revelation 9:7-10). As a result of the fires, plagues and beasts He inspires, the world will be covered in unburied dead bodies, rotting everywhere. The smoke of the burning, rotting bodies will ascend and plague the Earth forever (Revelation 14:10-11). And the smell will attract scavenger birds who will feast upon “the supper of the great God” (Revelation 19:17-18).
God will send an earthquake to kill 7,000 people (Revelation 11:13). And to add just a bit more drama, He will exercise his wrath by inflicting bodily sores, turning the seas and rivers to blood, scorching everyone with fire, causing people to consume their own tongues in pain, and causing horrendous storms that will strike dead the now speechless (though sated) sinners (Revelation 16:1-21).
Every single verse cited above is from the New Testament, Star. I suspect the gastric bypass you had while on The View resulted in malnutrition of the brain.

It’s a collection of stories that have been repeated over and over via word of mouth, and then finally put on paper by people who clearly had much less knowledge of the world than we do today. Praise! I had received a revelation that it was time to flee my True Christian compound in Mexico one week earlier than normal and return to my normal Christian neighborhood in Sarah Palin land. Today, people in general have skeptical outlooks on those who claim to have been witness to “miracles” as well as skeptical towards the words being spewed from everyone who has an opinion’s mouth. The question is, why, if we don’t believe everything that people say and say they saw, do we believe other people who are already dead that say they saw Jesus do this or Jesus do that? So maybe the floods of the past, or the exorcisms of ancient times aren’t quite what they would seem today. Hence the fact that acts of God, other than the ever fluctuating climate, do not happen anymore. People are smart enough to debunk illusions of the present, yet some people are still stupid enough to believe that a magician actually did pull a rabbit out of a hat… 2,000 years ago. If you can’t believe in the man made gods of ancient Egyptians, then why should we believe in the man made gods of ancient Jews? The sooner we can get people to start questioning everything, the sooner we can start solver the ever growing problems in which man is the root cause. I look forward to a response.

Regarding your comment about judging, I am so tired of leaving the same response. But it appears we have some newcomers on this board who need to read it. Jesus never said we’re not supposed to judge. In fact, He instructed us to judge. He simply said we should not judge by any standard other than the one by which we ourselves would accept being judged. But He expressly told us to judge. See, e.g., John 7:24 (”Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”); 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 (”Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?”); Matthew 7:6 (”Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine”) (How would we know who the pigs are unless we judge people like those being killed by the pigs. LOL!).
The passaeg to which you’re alluding (but have probably never even read) comes from the first few verses of Matthew, chapter 7. In those verses, we are told that we are not to judge UNLESS we judge by the same standard by which we would expect to be judged ourselves. I am happy for anyone to judge me as to whether I worship statues, idols, Jesus’ incubator or phony visions of that incubator. I am confident I’ll pass the test.

Today im as glad as ever to be Mexican and Catholic and extremely glad to not be a Christian. Althought, I know most Christians aren’t as ignorant as you. However, my 9 year old daughter was curious about the swine flu and came across this, what seems to me as a form of hate speech. I’m not perfect, I don’t go to church every weekend nor do I volunteer my time to help the needy. I live my life the way my Mexican parents taught me. Never say or do anything to hurt or insult anybody….period. It’s sounds very simple..you try it. I know it’s very hard for me to do, knowing most people walk around not wanting to be bothered or woth an attitude. God would never, ever do anything to harm us. For your information, the United States has the solution to “our” immigration problem.
If you think Mexicans dying of diseases will help, know this. Do you really think a country as powerful and rich as this would allow anything to happen that wasn’t to their advantage. Millions of illegals pay taxes for wich they receive no benefits, other than having an honest job and a humble home. Whay do you think.

I’m not sure if I believe in a God or not, but should he exist, I doubt he has the time or inclination to intercede in this manner. I’m not even sure I believe half of what is written in the bible, or that the bible is in any way complete. If you can’t think for yourself and decide, on your own, what is right and what is wrong, then I’m not sure there’s any hope for you.
According to God’s teaching, it’s wrong to kill, wrong to seek vengeance, etc. Yet your God does this all the time. Sounds to me like a case of “Do as I say, not as I do.” And this after stating that you should treat others as you would want them to treat you… Nice. So God gets to kill, maim, and destroy, but we’re supposed to love him and obey his every wish? I think not.

Of course, I don’t disagree with God. That would be blasphemy. But let’s face facts: He has been known to make some rather bizarre decisions. Of all the people of the world, He picked a drunk exhibitionist to build the ark and save his family. Moses was the man selected to lead his people out of the desert. He took 40 years to do so. One would have thought that a Jew could have sniffed out at leat one money changer in less time. King Solomon is praised in the Bible despite having hundreds of wives and many more concubines. And King David, one of God’s favorite mortals, had sex with more women than Wilt Chamberlain, yet considered his romantic tryst with Jonathan to be his most satisfying.
The bottom line is that God is, of course, omnipotent, but His judgment of character seems a little questionable to me. I have no doubt, though, that He had some cosmic purpose for selecting these seemingly wretched individuals and I, as a mere mortal, and worse yet, a member of the inferior gender, simply do not know that purpose.

Looking through your latter posts where you not only question His infallibility but also His ability to judge an individual’s character would seem to confirm your lack of faith and, therefore, the belief that He can make mistakes. It is also apparent from your reply to Andyo that you have difficulty in understanding the continuity of narrative within the Bible. This would explain your confusion between the ‘fire and brimstone’ Old Testament and the ‘words of love and forgiveness’ from Jesus (who you tell us you love and worship) in the New Testament.
I can understand the internal conflict, suffering and gratuitous lack of faith this lack of understanding has given you. Perhaps it’s time you concentrated on the New Testament and followed the words of whom you purport to love so very much.

Jesus told us we are to live our lives in fear of God for God has the power not only to kill us, but to torture us forever in Hell (Luke 12:5). Jesus told the disciples to bring before Him any man who didn’t believe in Him, and to violently slaughter the non-believer while Jesus watched (Luke 19:27). Jesus killed one man by having his body eaten by a swarm of worms because the man failed to give Jesus His due (Acts 12:23). Jesus struck a Jew blind for thwarting His teachings (Acts 13:8-11). He struck a man dumb for failing to listen well (Luke 1:20). He took the lives of a husband and wife by scaring them to death for not forking over all the money they made on a real estate transaction (Acts 5:1-10). During one particularly temperamental time when Jesus was hungry, He even killed a fig tree for failing to bear figs, even though Jesus knew figs weren’t in season (Mark 11:12-14).
According to the New Testament – inspired by Jesus, Himself — come Judgment Day, God will gather the non-believers and hurl them into a furnace of fire where there will be uncontrollable wailing and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 13:41-42, 50). Entire cities of people who don’t believe will suffer a fate worse than that of Sodom and Gomorra (Mark 6:11). Jesus told us that God will take “vengeance on them that know not God” by burning them forever “in flaming fire” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).
The brutality and destruction will not be entirely blase, though. There will be great sparks of creativity. Come Judgment Day, the Lord will create horse-like locusts will human heads, women’s hair, lion’s teeth and scorpion’s tails that will sting and inflict savage pain on sinners for five months (Revelation 9:7-10). As a result of the fires, plagues and beasts He inspires, the world will be covered in unburied dead bodies, rotting everywhere. The smoke of the burning, rotting bodies will ascend and plague the Earth forever (Revelation 14:10-11). And the smell will attract scavenger birds who will feast upon “the supper of the great God” (Revelation 19:17-18).
God will send an earthquake to kill 7,000 people (Revelation 11:13). And to add just a bit more drama, He will exercise his wrath by inflicting bodily sores, turning the seas and rivers to blood, scorching everyone with fire, causing people to consume their own tongues in pain, and causing horrendous storms that will strike dead the now speechless (though sated) sinners (Revelation 16:1-21).

Jesus never said we’re not supposed to judge. In fact, He instructed us to judge. He simply said we should not judge by any standard other than the one by which we ourselves would accept being judged. But He expressly told us to judge. See, e.g., John 7:24 (”Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.”); 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 (”Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?”); Matthew 7:6 (”Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine”) (How would we know who the pigs are unless we judge people like you?).
The verse to which you’re alluding (but have probably never even read) comes from the first few verses of Matthew, chapter 7. In those verses, we are told that we are not to judge UNLESS we judge by the same standard by which we would expect to be judged ourselves. I am happy to be judged by any standard I have used on this board. Feel free to judge me as to whether I’m a smelly, lazy, hairy, dog-eating, thieving Mexican. I’m certain I’ll be cleared.

I do think you have your idea of Mexico wrong. While yes, I am 100% sure there are a lot of lazy Mexicans, I am 100% sure there are many lazy people from other countries also. Mexico is an upper-middle income country, so they can’t be 100% lazy. While I can’t say being #11 on income level is too much to be proud of, you have to consider there are a lot of countries up there, so at one point being 11 is a feat.

I am preparing something for you and it will be a week before I have time to post it all as I’m leaving out of town, but in the mean time could you list all the scriptures of the bible which instruct us to hate anyone because of color, nationality or religion. Could you do better and just list the scriptures which instruct us to hate people for any reason. I already know the ones that inform us to hate sin as god hates it so they won’t be necessary. I would like to give you a few words for thought and that is first “I love you” though I am broken hearted over all the things I’ve read here. It is very sad. God does have anger and his wrath is great, but there is sooooo much more to him. For every scripture you offer about hate, I can give you 3 or more about love, lovingkindness, goodness, mercy, and god’s infinite grace. The greatest of these is LOVE! You’ve left out 3/4 of the bible sweetheart. Don’t take away from God’s word or add to it. Well that’s it for now, but I’ll be talking to you in a week or so. Jesus says love your neighbour, that means even the people who are against you not only the loved ones. Those who does not accept Jesus also love their loved ones. We as God’s children are different as Jesus said follow him and obey his commands. As Gods children we cannot agree to any other comments that is not belong to the Bible. People can twist and corrupt God’s word trying to benefit them likewise using the bible in their thoughts to attack others and using the bible in corrupting it to various beneficence. What ever God did or mentioned in the bible is rightful because God is pure (righteousness) God’s anger is right. You cannot compare God’s anger and ours. God ending a person’s life is right. All what he did and doing is rightful. This world is belong to GOD. God lets every thing happend in good & bad ways. Good means not only the worderful lives we have or any other good things that happening to us, good means what is pleasing to God not only what is pleasing to us.
True christian will try your best to please God. It is hard because the satan tries to attack God’s children but we are not serving for satan WE ARE SERVING TO OUR LORD GOD WHO IS POWERFUL MERCIFUL & PURE. Repent for your sins and turn to Jesus. Jesus loves every one of you. Dont try to judge the other’s sins as it is left to God’s work and do not forget we too were sinners. As God’s children we have to pray for them and love them too.

The CIA has nothing to say about the theory of evolution. What you must realize about Wikipedia is that all of the claims made in, at least the evolution article, it are backed up by credible peer reviewed sources. And it is those sources that present the evidence regarding evolution.

I hypothesize that you will dismiss any evidence in favor of Evolution as sent from the devil, and all scientists as his ministers.
