America has been greatly blessed by God and has stood as the greatest country in the history of the world for over 200 years. America has many foreign and domestic enemies that are seeking her destruction.
This thread is a daily call and reminder for people of faith who believe in God and in the power of prayer to make a commitment to intercede for America at this critical time in her history

Father, God, We come to You today in acknowledgement that this battle truly is Yours. The odds against us seem insurmountable. All of Hell is unleashed on this election to allow a pro-baby murdering, pro-homosexual agenda, anti-Israel, Marxist into the White House. Normally, I don’t use those terms in the prayer thread, but that is exactly what we are faced with. We aren’t faced with a mere drain on our pocket books (though that is a reality). The love of money be damned. We are faced with the survival or death of one nation founded for Your glory and for the exaltation of Your holy name. I pray for Sarah Palin and John McCain. Each of them is under attack in their own ways. May John McCain’s focus at this time be upon You and Your power to save. As a high school teacher and college professor, I have observed that learning is a cooperative effort between the student and the instructor. That’s why educators try to get the student involved in class participation. The teacher does some work; the student does some work. Together progress is made. Education happens.
In Psalm 119, the writer suggests a similar pattern in verses 129-136. God is the teacher; we are the students.
Let’s look at God’s role in our education. He shows us mercy (v.132). He guides our steps (v.133). And He redeems us from outside trouble (v.134).
But first we must be eager students, ready to accept God’s teaching, guidance, and help. We should enter His classroom with anticipation: “The entrance of Your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple. . . . I longed for Your commandments” (vv.130-131). In our role as students of God’s Word, we should fulfill three requirements: (1) examine God’s words for what they are teaching, (2) gain understanding from those words, and (3) obey His statutes.
It’s time to enter God’s classroom and listen and learn from Him. When we do, we’ll look at God with renewed love and at the world with renewed concern (v.136).

That the Republicans will seek atonement for bringing us 8 years of George Bush and the consequential shredding of the US constitution, 4,000 dead US soldiers, a million dead Iraqi innocents, depleted uranium dust blowing across the middle east, a collapsed financial system due to massive deregulation, the evaporation of pension and savings of countless elderly and a general sense of fear and trepidation amongst the masses.
I pray the republicans will wake up, get a better education and really learn to open their hearts and find out that perpetual hate mongering, war mongering, racism and denial of failure will not advance our blessed nation. Please teach them that respect and knowledge of the constitution is required to be a really good citizen and that hate and fear breeds hate and fear at home and abroad.
I pray that Sara Palin learn her limitation and return to mayorship, if any town out there would have her, and would risk going into debt $22,000,000 as her beloved Wassilla did due to her indescretionary spending as well as usurpation of land from a private citizen for public use to build her pet project.
Please lord send us people who know and understand the constitution. Who understand the first amendment was written to protect the people from politicians, not to protect politicians from the media.
And please send us a vice president who knows what the job is and realizes that vice presidents do not help to make laws nor do they head the senate as Palin has stated she believes her role to be.
Please send us some one who has the wisdom to select intelligent financial advisors who have not been a source of pain, like McCain’s advisor, Phil Gramm who was CEO for a foreign bank and was involved in massive deregulation decisions that helped lead to this financial crisis we endure today, only after padding his own pockets.
Please send us someone who has better strategies for communicating with our enemies other than chanting in public “Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran”
Dear lord, please send us someone who knows the constitution and has dedicated his life to learning it and spreading the knowledge. Someone like Obama who has taught constitutional law for almost 10 years.
Please lord send us someone who knows how to inspire and motivate people like never before. Some one who knows how to organize communities of people, to give them hope and to defeat apathy and depression that has so griped our nation. Someone like Obama.
Please lord, when you send to us someone good, someone who can do the job in a noble and dignified way, who can inspire our higher angels, please protect them, and send solace to those who might think they are loosing. Let them come to realize in a gentle and loving way that we as a nation can unite and make America even greater than it already is and that they can also be a part of hope and great achievements too.

Of course, what He has done this time is more vicious, more cruel and more hurtful than all the plagues and destruction described above. But He’s testing us. And we must persevere. For the sake of our children and grandchildren. Four years is not that long away. Let us pray we can return things to the way they were by then.

Father God, I pray that we as a nation would accept You into our lives. Bring about a revival, I pray, within the hearts of the American people so that they will turn back to You. Place a hedge about our president, and lead him in Your ways. Ours is not to rant and rave against You, God, nor is it our right to rant and rave against Mr. Obama. I pray that with love and mercy, and with humble hearts, we will, as christians, do our best to follow where You lead us, and to accept what You bring about for this nation, to change what we can for good, and to denounce what is evil in Your sight. Please go out and purchase a King James Version 1611 Holy Bible. It is the only valid version of the Bible. It is the only one inspired by God. It is the one True Christians read and rely upon. If you cannot afford one, I’m sure a Southern Baptist church in your area will provide one.

KJV, was translated from the Geneva Bible, mainly, but without the marginal notes that were a source of blasphemy towards Kings.
