Announcing Sam Brownback Day

Posted by Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett on August 7, 2007

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Sometime over the next day or so, this ministry will reach a milestone record of over 100,000 visitors in just under 3 months on the internet. Recently Tobin Maker, Resident Pastor here at Baptists For Brownback asked me how were to celebrate such an event. At first, I was unsure and it took me asking myself, What Would Jesus Do? Well, given  Jesus would be just as supportive of Senator Sam Brownback as the next President of His United States of God as we are, I have decided to use this occasion to mark our deep and emphatic support for Sam.

On the day that we turn over receiving our 100,000 visitor, we will officially declare this Sam Brownback Day.  For 24 hours, we will post on and speak of nothing but Sam Brownback and the issues that are important to him.  United we shall celebrate the accomplishments and achievements of the best Christian, Conservative Presidential Candidate there is, Sam Brownback.

I cannot think of a finer way to commemorate this day than to honor someone as moral and upstanding as our next President.

YIC,

Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett

Christian, Republican, Biblical Authoritarian

The reason you hit that many visitors is because people saying, “Can you believe these people ARE SO RIGHTEOUS IN A WORLD FILLED WITH SIN AND DEBAUCHERY”, are linking to your site?

  2. Confused said

    SAM BROWNBACK 2008, yo!

  3. La Mona said

Yea, the reason you’re getting so many visitors is because people just can’t believe that people could be that ignorant, and have to take a look.

  4. The one showing their ignorance would be you, La Mona. Through your own words you’ve become the laughing stock of many a blog I enjoy. Keep up the good work.

    God Bless! :-)

    Lynelle

  5. La Mona said

The reason you laugh is because I bring opposition, and no one likes opposition. I don’t agree with you, and you can’t argue with me, thus you resort to absolutely nothing in your response. Can you prove your statement there? I doubt it. (take this opportunity to try.) I have all the time in the world. I’ll wait.

  6. No, the reason many people laugh at you, not with you, is your poor impersonation of an educated young person. Oh yes, and the many other character impersonations you fail so miserably put forth. Your gig, as they say, is up, little girl. Sadly, even Christians allow themselves to succumb to the dark humor that is you. For that, I will pray for forgiveness. I really shouldn’t find humor in the socially challenged.

  7. La Mona said

When have I acted as anything but myself? How have I acted poorly as an “educated young person” when that is the role that many people see me in? Anywho, back to that “gig”, care to prove anything dear? I’m afraid that at this point you still offer no proof for anything you have said. Now, without proof you don’t stand a chance at being taken seriously, now do you. Oh, and everyone in the room laughs at you with me. I am in no way socially challenged, in that I have many friends….how can one be socially challenged and still have a social life? Also, you know nothing of my personal life, so what expert are you to comment on it? You know nothing of me except what I have posted here…..and my social life was not something that I posted.

Try again. (without being baseless please. I shall return.)

blagh, blagh, blagh, blagh……… Typical La Mona comment. Typical poor character develpment. Typical idiocy. Give it a rest, the curtain is closing on your act.

This is nothing shy of a brilliant idea. Could I pose an ‘idea’ for a thread?

I have been wondering who the lord will choose as President-to-be Brownbacks running mate, not that he needs one. I have several in mind myself, but it did occur to me that the lord may want to include a woman, considering the VP is a just a figurehead (except of course for blessed Dick Cheney) and can do no actual harm to our nation, I was thinking that the demure, sweet Ann Coulter (barring the fact she dresses like a hooker), or that fresh, young Bay Buchanan, or perhaps that brilliant (for a woman) Katherine Harris from Florida. Normally, I would add that darling, sensitive, earth mother, Michelle Malkin, but she is a foreigner, so she is out.

I humbly suggest this be a topic for a Brownback Day discussion. I am so curious the thoughts of the other supporters.

    God Bless.

  9. Whodat, you can pose for anything you like, hon so long as you are fully clothed! I love your topic idea. Personally I would like to see Franklin Graham have a seat in the cabinet but perhaps not as VP. Anne Coulter is a brilliant author but she dresses like a hooker. Who wears little black dresses and heels at 7AM? She looks like she just walked out of a blame bar. Jeb Bush is a good choice or David Duke? There are a few good, strong conservatives likely to walk with Sam.

THIS IS AWFUL! My comments were not just moderated they were edited as well. I did not say Brownback for 2008, I mentioned another republican candidate… who, by the way, is the lead in the polls- unlike Brownback, who has 1% of the votes. I ALSO did not say: ARE SO RIGHTEOUS IN A WORLD FILLED WITH SIN AND DEBAUCHERY” I said “manage to breath.” This is just beyond weird.

    Dear Sister TDGC

What a wonderful idea! I will pray and study over this real hard and Mother and I will talk about virtually nothing else! Praise God for Senator Sam!
Mother sent in the statutory maxium of $2300 (Oh that Hateful Russel Feingold curtailing free speech!) to Senator Sam and advanced me on my inheritance to do the same. I am just sorry that $4,600 was all of Caesar’s we could render to Sam, but our heartfelt daily prayers and thoughts are with this godly man. (If it were not for those satanic communist contribution limits! I am sure a woman like yourself whom God has smiled on with properity must find this frustrating.)

Thanks again for providing this wonderful forum.

    Triumpha! Abundant!

  13. Dear Brother Yancy,

Verily the Lord has chosen Sam Brownback as a means to see our great America into the next chapter of the Lord’s Book of Life. While wicked political practices limit our fiscal donations to the good Sam Brownback, they cannot limit our spiritual ones. That we can rest easy knowing. Please give sweet Mother my best regards.

    Lynelle,

Trust me I would never ‘pose naked’, that would be a sin and unkind to anyone with working eyes.

As for Ann Coulter, it does cause me considerable consternation that she seems to be dressed as if she is permanantly doing the morning after ‘walk of shame’, acutually that may explain why she IS dressed like that at 7am. If we could just cure her of her fashion issues, put her in a proper ladylike smock, and pin up that wretched tarty hair, she could pass as a respectable lady.

  15. sp0iler said

    Yancy,

There are ways around the campaign finance laws. You can donate to individuals up to a point, then you can donate to the state or national party, or Political Action Committees. I suggest moveon.org, rockthevote, or voteforchange.

Have you all seen the good work Senator Brownback has been doing pointing out that the mormon is soft on the abortion issue? I mean does it make sense for Mit to say that although he now thinks that killing babies is wrong, he once thought that it was fine and dandy?

Ann Coulter is an okay choice for VP. Yes, she dresses like a hooker and that might tempt President Brownback. I especially worry about this in context of his flirtation with Catholicism. You know how sensual those people are. It is little wonder to me that the priests do what they do with little boys, given all the kneeling they do in church. Heavens, the Catholics will probably be all in here complaining now. But could it be any worse than having all those filthy scots crawling all over the blog?

If Coulter is unavailable or too slutty, can I suggest that President Brownback do whatever is possible to retain Vice President Cheney? He has done such a good job so far and I really think he deserves the chance to see the mission through.

  22. La Mona said

Haha Maura, that was cute. (You’re a prime example of why people come to this site….)

This is such an excellent idea that I will also proclaim Sam’s word (which is, by extension, the word of God) throughout my office.

I really think we have to consider Pat Robertson as Sam’s running mate. It’s just so logical. The Holy Spirit told me that all Pat’s life has led to this moment.

Or God could have meant Pat Buchanan. I’m not sure. There was static on the line. It was kind of a rambling conversation, and I wasn’t really expecting Him to contact me. My notes may not be that reliable.

  25. WhoDat said

    Dearest His Wisdom,

Personally I feel that while he is an affable fellow Dick Cheney is FAR too liberal, he has a gay daughter and he has not publically rebuked, or disowned her. Yet.

I was thinking that Tom Delay is free these days as is that poor falsely accused Mark Foley, and lets not rule out Pat Robertson.

  26. WhoDat said

    MikeM,

I am certain that it was not Pat Buchanans name you heard, he is so LIEberal that if he had his way this country would be teeming with illegal, gay people, fornicating in public, and shouting filthy words to each other in spanish, whilst burning flags.

    God Bless.

  27. Brother McGregor said

Forgive me Brothers and Sisters but Cheney seems to be a snake in the grass. His lesbian daughter not withstanding, his eyes never seem to focus straightly on anyone.
Otherwise, he would absolutely be a choice for me. He is already so powerful behind beloved President G W Bush

  28. WhoDat said

    Dear Brother McG,

I hate to disagree with you, but I have always thought Cheney has very honest, kind eyes, such a warm, inviting smile, and generally a very comforting personality. He is just a big old teddy bear of a fella, like a kind grandfatherly type.

    Glory.

Sorry it took so long for me to be back. I’m in the process of moving and I need to sign up for internet again. Plus the HSF fell off my motherboard and trashed my sound card :-(

I’ve noticed you guys have tried to copyright the English alphabet now. So what does that mean? You own the rights to every letter in the alphabet? I would love to see a lawsuit spring up with you guys over this hilarity!

Also, how did atheists “take” the letter A? It was used as a label by you guys on this website. I don’t think any group of political or philosophical beliefs can own a letter.

  34. HisWisdomReigns said

    MikeM,

Is it possible that the Good Lord was talking about Pat Tillman? I think the VP slot would be a fitting tribute to his sacrifice to the country.

I’m not a big fan of Mr. Robertson. My mother had colon cancer and i sent a letter into 700 Club and Pat mentioned her in his prayers, but she still died. I am a little bit skeptical that the Lord heals all the people that Pat claims He does. I know, I know, the Lord calls who He wants to call, but I still think that Pat failed me there.

I, too, share an aversion to Cheney’s continued love of his daughter. There’s loving the sinner, but it can be taken too far, in my opinion.

I know this idea is a bit far out there, but what about President Bush as a possible VP? It would be a bold choice, but having two good Christian men in the WH is better than one.

  35. AutoFire said

So you think Cheney should hate his own daughter? How…un-Christian of you. Then again, I’m used to seeing un-Christian comments coming from people like you, TDGC, Lynelle, WhoDat, etc.

But that makes me wonder, do you think we could convince that Rove fella to toss his hat in the ring for VP? He seems like a very stand up, trustworthy fellow, and terribly handsome to boot.

  42. HisWisdomReigns said

Thanks for the defense all. I didn’t remember writing the word ‘hate’ (as a Christian it is a word I try to avoid using, except to describe liberals’ attitudes toward our president and Lord).

Rove is an interesting idea, but did you see him doing that dancing and ‘rapping’? It certainly didn’t seem presidential. Not like Cheney, if you hear about him, he’s hunting or plotting or going on Rush, all of which are very presidential.

Brother WhoDat, you have a good point on my Bush-as-VP idea. I guess this is what happens when I throw an idea out there without out praying on it for a couple of hours first.

spOiler, did you think that posting some picture of a cartoon woman would make us think that you are female? Satan will come as a peacemaker, do you think we’ll fall for that, too?

you’re hilarious. Simpsons characters are all a shade of yellow or brown. And since the I’m about as caucasian as they come, I figured I would make my skin character the same color as the majority of Springfield residents.

  50. Brother McGregor said

interpreted how do you feel I am owned?

I said that Christians take from the whole Bible…just like Tobin, Mrs Gaines Crockett etc do.

We do not just snatch any verse and try to use it to excuse sin like you do.

    Is that clearer for you?

  51. Brother McGregor said

Who said anything about Jesus being wrong?

Look if you are going to argue in here then argue what has been said, NOT what you think has been said or I will just begin to ignore you.

Which would be a shame because out of the few that argue in here, you often make some sense.

  52. sp0iler said

Clearly, though, you’re not taking from the whole Bible. Didn’t Jesus wash the feet of the disciples, and forgive the adulterous woman from stoning? You seem to focus mostly on the “fire and brimstone” elements that allow you to “smite” those who don’t believe the same things as they do. Jesus preached to Jews, Gentiles, and Romans but you seem to think that anyone whose ideas are even slightly divergent from this group’s is evil, satanic, or “lieberal.”

I’m proud to be “liberal” if it means that my mind is open to other people’s ideas. Who are you to say that your strict interpretation of the Bible is correct. It was written by man, not God, last time I checked. And those men were fallible.

Not to interrupt, but I’d like to take a moment to return to the original post. As one of the 100,000 new readers, I think I should publicly explain my presence.

The ever-amusing PZ placed a link to this site on his blog some days ago in response to the “scarlet A” debacle. Until that day, I was a struggling Christian, reading the Bible and praying in an effort to meet the continual test of faith that is higher education. Thanks in great part to this site, I have given up on what I’ve always known in my heart to be a losing battle.

The delusion that permits the authors of this blog to speak so hatefully and ignorantly is no longer a delusion I can allow myself to be associated with; stamp an “A” on my forehead and hand me a kilt.

Tobin, you lie with the ease of the Devil you revile, but with none of the skill he supposedly employs. Ms. Gaines-Crockett, you are small and ugly in spirit and soul, condemning not those who should be condemned but instead those who are merely different. Mrs. Bryant, I’m not entirely sure what a woman with neither patience, humility, or eloquence is doing in the ministry at all. The three of you together are more compelling an argument against Christianity (especially Republican Baptist) that the Devil might as well just take a vacation.

In other news, finally giving up on trying to shoehorn natural selection into God’s revealed Word is going to make biology lectures (and PZ’s blog) much less stressful.

    I’d pray for the three of you, but the best I can do now is hope that you go out of business. All the best;

In any rate, we know that the most unbelievable miracles can happen. The Bible tells us so! Snakes can speak, virgins can bear children, old men can wave their wands and make the seas part, so I have no doubt that the Lord can bring about a much easier miracle by making Sam Brownback the next President of our once Godly United States of America!

All of the great thinkers of history – be they religious or athiest or deist or agnostic – have tried to find ways to reverse that – and that is our civlisation. ‘HisWisdomReigns’ hates not out of his religion, but out of the sad fact that people aren’t very nice.

Sister Biday, with all due respect, it’s hard not to mock the godly when they launch a crusade against kilts. Jesus wears a dress in every depiction of Him I’ve ever seen. The Scots preserved both secular and religious knowledge through the Dark Ages, when crazy religious nutjobs last held sway over the Western World.

Don’t even get me started on the topic of rape as a Godly miracle. That wouldn’t be scoffing or mocking but the righteous anger of morals unfettered by delusional authority figures.

If we get Ron Paul as President, does that mean that God failed, or that he just decided Brownback isn’t worthy? If we get Obama, I suppose the pillars of salt are coming soon?

Grace to you, and peace… but I suggest yoga instead of church.

Hmmm…for the second time today I am wondering exactly where I wrote the word ‘hate’ or condemned anyone to hell, a job for which only our Lord is qualified.

If I recall the sequence of events correctly, Newlylost wrote into to say s/he was recently questioning her/his faith and the writings of Pastor Tobin, Mrs. Gaines-Crockett, et al –although I have to note that I didn’t get a mention :( — turned her/him/it away from the Lord because they represent a style of belief that he/she wasn’t cool with.

interpreted wrote in with the names of three people that he/she thought would reconvert you and disparaged “et al” in the process.

I pointed out that the three “Christians” that interpreted cited all had moral failings of their own.

Now Newlylost has accused me of hate and damning people to hell.

If both of you want to see Mandela, Tutu, and King as more Godly than the people who post on this cite, that is fine, but I would assert that whatever moral failings that we all have (maybe too quick to judge?) our goal of electing President Brownback more than makes up for them. We seek to put America back on the righteous path.

  85. Newlylost said

Interpreted: How do we know? Human nature has always been tainted by religion.
Maybe if we could somehow stop indoctrinating the children of this world with divisive mythologies, we’d get a chance to see how human nature actually works.

Sorry, but sooner or later it comes down to the fact that everyone that doesn’t agree with you gets tortured forever. We may not be born saints, but surely that kind of rhetoric isn’t imprinted on our souls.

On the other hand, my fight today is not with the reasonable Christians… it’s with the fundamentalist loonies that run this page.

    Pretty much, yeah.

Don’t even get me started on the topic of rape as a Godly miracle. That wouldn’t be scoffing or mocking but the righteous anger of morals unfettered by delusional authority figures.

It’s that which made me start my crusade of … er, posting annoying comments on this site.

If we get Ron Paul as President, does that mean that God failed, or that he just decided Brownback isn’t worthy? If we get Obama, I suppose the pillars of salt are coming soon?

They’ve covered this before, together with a picture of Obama with fairly crudely shopped red eyes and a ‘666′ on his forehead.

Newlylost, God cannot fail, and His will is always done even if we cannot determine what that is or even if it seems wildly misanthropic to our feeble human minds. Whether it’s drowning 100,000 Thailandese in a giant wave or moving Sam Brownback to the White House, He is glorious and sovereign. May His name be praised!

You don’t see things with the eyes of faith but rather with the myopic vision of a typical worldly lost soul. Thus, you can’t discern the things of God and how He moves in everything. “Not even a sparrow falls to the ground without His notice” (Ezekiel 23:20)

    Dear Sister Biday

As I have not seen you here before welcome in Jesus’ name to this Godly site. As you can see we battle hammer and tong with the heathen here daily, yea, hourly. We have the usual mix of communists, atheists, whoremongers, slatterns, drunkards, liberals, democratz, feminists and many afflicted with the curse of malignant narcissism.

Tread bravely, Sister with you Christian faith and the word of God in your hand. You are side-by-side with Christians filled with the love of Jesus, including, but not limited to, our firebrand Brother McGregor, our philosopher Brother WhoDat, who will again chastise me for my verbosity, Sister Mabel, a kind soul, and a host of others who hourly battle Satan in the name of Senator Brownback and under the guidance of Rev. Tobin, an exemplary Baptist pastor, Lynelle, a true trailblazer in the field of prison ministry and of course the sainted Sister TDGC who is a constant inspiration to us all,

I myself am a semi-retired career Navy Man with 26 years service honorably discharged and I live with my 80 year old mother who is a sweet and charitable Baptist lady. In the Navy I worked mostly as a pharmacists mate, having trained as such and also took on special assignments in the area of hygenic education, principally on board the U.S.S LaSalle. I was also proud to be of special help to the Naval Investigative Services over the years, but that exact nature of that work I am not at liberty to discuss.

Principal Servants of Satan on here include:
    Confused: Name says it all
La Moaner: To me she sounds like a drug addict
Spoiler – her husband washes the dishes in their house. Need I say more? It is easy to guess who wears the pants.

    Welcome Sister! Triumphal! Abundant!

Thank you, Brother Yancy for your kind words!

I had begun to fear that this blog had been entirely taken over by demons and sodomites.

When I go with my fellow Baptists into neighborhoods near my church to hand out Chick tracts and proclaim the Good News, I am often greeted with the same sort of malicious, vile claptrap as I receive here. I don’t understand why people are so hardened to hearing the truth of why they’re heading straight to Hell unless they repent and accept Jesus into their hearts like I did over fifteen years ago as a young girl! Yet, all I receive for my sincere efforts of trying to save their hellbound souls is mockery and scorn.

This is why we need men like Sam Brownback in office. He will ensure that our laws reflect God’s laws and restore goodness to this once great nation. I sometimes wish I had lived back in the days of the Puritans (after we had successfully shooed the godless Indians to a reasonable distance). Everyone then had memorized their Bibles and knew their place. I guess the Lord just wishes me to remain in this wicked age so that we can preach to people as Jonah did for the Ninevites.

For example, the “Big Dig” project wasting billions of dollars of federal tax money; our acceptance of gay marriage; being home to the Kennedy clan; inspiring so many bad accents in movies and on television.

The Taxachusetts label is left over from the 80s and early 90s. It’s 2007 – again, I would suggest you read a newspaper.

    Helen,

I believe that human evolution happened millions (if not billions) of years before Christ was born. If you recall, Jesus instructed that Peter would be the leader of the church after he was gone. Peter is celebrated as the First Catholic Pope, meaning that the “original” church was Catholic. The reformation didn’t begin until 1517, some millennium and a half after Christ died. Are you telling me that there were no “Christians” until 1500 years after the crucifixion? Who fought in the Crusades? Who built the great Cathedrals and ancient churches in Europe?
