Gang Membership on the Rise: What can we do?

Recently there has been a lot reported in the news about a surge in gang membership and gang violence. More and more gangs are popping up around the world and they aren’t necessarily exclusive to the blacks and Mexican communities any more. It seems that the homosexuals, Lesbians, Orientals, and Russians are starting, and joining by shocking, gangs as well.  This doesn’t surprise me and it shouldn’t surprise you either. It’s no wonder gang membership is increasing. Worship is down. Morality is down. Patriotism is down. Where else are these children supposed to turn to? They can’t pray in school anymore. When they tour the courthouses and government buildings, they don’t see the Ten Commandments or a picture of Christ anymore. If the TV is turned on there is always some Liberal news reporter promoting abortions, homosexuals getting married or making disparaging remarks about our Commander in Chief, President George W. Bush.  Americans today are constantly slapped in the face with immoral propaganda and this has a negative impact on them, especially the children.

So how do we fix this?  There are a number of ways; we need to get God back into the courts, classrooms, and HOMES first. Then we need to instill some values and morals back into the kids from an early age. Teach them the Biblical morals – that abortion, homosexuality, divorce, cohabitation, promiscuity, drinking, etc… is wrong. Parents need to set an example by discussing these things with their children. Lastly, these kids need to know how important their loyalty to your country and its leader is. In the name of God, every American should say the Pledge of Allegiance every morning – right after they have prayed together as a family.

From a government stand point there should be legislation passed that would eliminate gang popularity as well. Police at a state, county, and city level should be canvassing the colored and minority communities and talking to the youth. The officers should let the children and more importantly, their parents, who have proved to do nothing in raising their children right, know that being a gang member is illegal and that it isn’t going to be tolerated.  The gang clothing such as baggy pants, gold chains and teeth, oversized pants and shirts with gang symbols should be made illegal. Fine the parents if the children are caught sporting gang apparel.  The actual gangs should be made an example of. There ought to be a countrywide gang round up and public sentencing and execution of the members. If children see their older friends and relatives being executed in large numbers on TV, they would think twice about joining a gang.  The children and their parents who are prone to gang membership need to know that Americans aren’t going to take their unlawfulness any more. When the gang members see hundreds of their members arrested and/or eliminated permanently, they will think twice about what they do and make a change in their life for the better.

Please pray for the children, the parents of the children, and for the communities as a whole that are affected by gangs and thugs. I know that Sam Brownback is probably just as concerned about gang membership as we are. As a Christian, a father of his own precious children, and a true Patriot, he would do something as President to eliminate gangs. God Bless America and America Bless God.
